Photos you capture or select for analysis are resized and compressed on your device and sent, together with the description you type, over HTTPS to our API at diyet724.net. The model key is not held in the app; our server forwards the request to Gemini and returns the result to your device. Images and results are not linked to a user identity and are not retained beyond what is needed to evaluate and improve model performance.
Usage credits: AI analysis is limited per day (1 request per day for non-Premium users, 10 photos per day on Premium). The counters live only on your device. When your credits run out you can optionally watch a rewarded ad to earn one more analysis, or switch to Premium.
Food search and barcodes: search terms and scanned barcode numbers are sent to the same API; if our database has no match, the server queries Open Food Facts and FatSecret. Foods you create or that AI identifies may be added to the shared food database. These requests carry no account or device identifier, and your diary, goals and measurements are never sent to the server.
Your nutrition log, goals and preferences are stored only on your device using Realm. Sensitive fields are encrypted with CryptoSwift when needed. Deleting the app permanently removes this data.
Ads are served through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) (banner, interstitial, app-open and rewarded ads). Whether personalized advertising is used depends on your choice in the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog shown at first launch, combined with the iOS ATT prompt. Ads are still shown if you decline, but the requests are sent as non-personalized (npa=1).
The iOS build also integrates the following mediation adapters via CocoaPods:
Your ATT and UMP choices are forwarded to each network individually: the advertiser-tracking flag for Meta, GDPR/CCPA status for Vungle, personalization consent for Pangle and GDPR consent for InMobi. When your preference changes these signals are re-applied and ads are requested accordingly. A rewarded ad only opens when you choose "Watch ad". No ads are shown to users with an active Premium subscription.
Integrated via Swift Package Manager, Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics and Firebase Crashlytics collects crash and error logs (stack traces, device/OS version). This data is not used to identify you personally.
Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). An anonymous device token is generated only when you grant notification permission. It is not used to personalize content.
Optional subscriptions are processed through Apple StoreKit. Payment information is managed by Apple; our app never sees your card details. You can manage subscriptions in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.
The home-screen widget shows your daily calorie and macro summary. It accesses data only on-device through an App Group; no data is sent to external servers.
The app uses a private CrossPromo Swift package to promote other Codeida apps. It fetches campaigns via Firebase Remote Config and logs impression/click events to Firebase Analytics anonymously (campaign id, target app, placement); no personal data is collected.
The app is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
No personal user data is stored on Codeida servers. Analytics and crash data follow Google/Firebase retention policies. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

We request only read access to steps and active energy from Health Connect. This data is processed on-device and never sent to external servers. You can revoke access at any time from the Health Connect app. (No write permission is currently used.)
While the fasting timer is active, its status is shown through a local notification and an alarm is set on the device for the end of the fast. The app runs no foreground service for this; the timer and end time stay on your device and are never sent to a server.
Meal, water and weight reminders are scheduled locally via AlarmManager as inexact alarms (setAndAllowWhileIdle), which is why the app requests no exact-alarm permission and the system may delay a notification by a few minutes depending on battery state. No remote server or push service is used for reminders — the app contains no Firebase Cloud Messaging. After a reboot, the BOOT_COMPLETED receiver re-arms reminders.
Your nutrition log, goals and measurements are stored locally using Realm Kotlin. App preferences (theme, units, notification settings, etc.) are stored using AndroidX DataStore. From Settings > Backup you can export and restore your data as an encrypted .kbk file; it is saved to the location you choose and is never uploaded to Codeida servers. Uninstalling the app permanently removes the data from your device.
